Home sales dropped drastically in May; however, June saw mortgage applications rise to their highest level in 11 years. The pandemic put a severe damper on real estate activity, but we are now seeing buyers leaving big cities and bringing a rise to home prices as they compete for suburban and rural homes. Unfortunately, rising prices may be locking out many people who were hit hardest by the pandemic.
